It’s already out!
The nostalgia factor mixed with the game mechanics is doing something to me.
And by something, I mean something good.
What is this game about?
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game is a side-scrolling beat ’em up style game based on the Scott Pilgrim graphic novels by Bryan Lee O’Malley.
After the graphic novels got popular, it came out as a feature film in theaters, and later became available on streaming services.
I remembered that the publisher was Ubisoft.
But I recently learned that it was developed by Ubisoft Montreal with Ubisoft Chengdu, according to the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game wiki.
What about the movie?
This is not about Micheal Cera, or anyone else in the movie.
The movie was fine. But the video game is the STAR of the show!

Playing this title on XBOX 360 in my early 20’s before and after working my job as a server at various dine-in restaurants just had a feel to it.
After being released digitally on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in August 2010, the video game got delisted four years later in December 2014.
The fact that the game just disappeared made me want it MORE!
I’m sure that was all a part of the hype, as explained by Marshall Garvey on Screenrant.

Inspirations
The fact that this title is a co-op beat ‘em up really peaked my interest in giving this game an initial shot.
Not only is it a good-looking game, but it also carries over RPG elements to each character in the campaign.
Extremely reminiscent of River City Ransom for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), this game provides more variety in enemies, weapons, cast, bosses and sub-bosses.
I also heard there might be some new things to look forward to in the re-release!
So for me, an updated re-release is pretty exciting.
For you Nintendo fans out there…
It’s now out for the Nintendo Switch.
There is one HARD condition to this acquisition.
I MUST 100% the game.
